Message from Honorable Vice Chancellor (I/C)

My Dear Students, Research Scholars and Faculty Members, the School of Applied Sciences and Technology (GTU-SAST) is progressing towards becoming a future-ready centre for interdisciplinary research, technological innovation and entrepreneurship. By integrating biotechnology with artificial intelligence, machine learning, bioinformatics, multi-omics, biosensors, computational technologies and environmental sciences, the School aims to generate evidence-based and sustainable solutions for healthcare, agriculture, industry, environmental protection and national development. GTU-SAST promotes a complete research-to-impact pathway encompassing competitive research grants, high-quality publications, patents, product-oriented Ph.D. research, prototype development, technology transfer, start-ups and industrial applications. Its future scientific roadmap focuses on establishing interdisciplinary centres for AI-enabled biotechnology, multi-omics, biosensors and sustainable bioprocessing; strengthening advanced instrumentation and computational facilities; expanding industry-linked doctoral research and national and international collaborations; and converting student dissertations and research outcomes into validated technologies, intellectual property and market-ready products. The faculty’s contributions through publications, citations, funded projects, patents, books, research supervision and academic collaborations—supported by updated profiles on GTU-IRINS, VIDWAN and Google Scholar—will further strengthen the School’s global visibility and scientific impact. Our vision is to transform knowledge into innovation, innovation into technology and technology into sustainable enterprises, thereby preparing responsible scientists, innovators and entrepreneurs for a self-reliant, sustainable and technologically advanced Bharat.
Wishing you all the success in all your future endeavors.
