Pratiksha H Nimbkar

Currently pursuing her Ph.D. in biotechnology, she has completed her Master’s in Forensic Science from Rashtriya Raksha University, Gandhinagar and Bachelor’s in Zoology from Mumbai University. With a varied academic background her research interests include molecular genetics, DNA forensics, wildlife forensics and zoogeography. Her current profile involves handling and maintaining cell cultures. Her expertise includes statistics, data analysis and interpretation, microtomy, forensic serology. She has cleared UGC-NET in Forensic Science (May 2020) and recently cleared FACT plus (April 2022). She has completed a one-month internship at CFSL Hyderabad in the Biology and DNA division (April-2021). She is experienced in handling analytical instruments like UV-VIS Spectrophotometer, FTIR-ATR, ED-XRF, HPLC, Comparison Microscope, Video Spectral Comparator (VSC), 3-D Crime Scene Scanner and q-PCR. She has actively participated in National Workshop titled “Recent Advances in Cancer Research: Diagnostics to Therapeutics” organised by GIPMER, New Delhi. Besides, she has participated in other workshops under the DBT Star College Scheme on microtomy and basic microbiology techniques.
